Software Engineer II

About the Role

KLDiscovery is seeking a Software Engineer II for an exciting remote opportunity to join our creative, technology-driven team. You will play a key role in maintaining critical billing workflow systems while contributing to modernization efforts and future migrations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Billing Platform Development: Design, develop, and maintain internal VB.NET WinForms desktop applications for monthly client billings (primary day-to-day responsibility).
• Databases: Work directly with SQL Server to write/optimize T-SQL, stored procedures, and manage Agent jobs.
• Modernization & Migration: Contribute to feature development, performance optimization, and the future migration from legacy systems to modern web-based architectures (e.g., ASP.NET Core/Blazor).
• Quality Assurance: Write and maintain automated tests; grow test coverage significantly.
• Collaboration & Standards: Participate in code reviews, follow coding standards/style guides, and collaborate with BI, Analyst, Processing, and Submission teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
