Overview
Join Microsoft Digital (MSD) as a Data Engineer on our Hyderabad/Secunderabad team. We build the trusted data foundation that powers Field and Support organizations at scale.
The Role
You will help modernize enterprise platforms, establishing curated lakehouse foundations using technologies like Microsoft Fabric, Spark, Power BI, and Azure services to support reporting, analytics, automation, and natural-language experiences. You'll contribute across the full data lifecycle from ingestion to governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable pipelines transforming operational data into trusted datasets.
- Build solutions using Fabric OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, notebooks, and Dataflows Gen2.
- Ingest diverse support domain data (incidents, tickets, chats) to create actionable insights.
- Develop dimensional models with consistent definitions for robust analytics.
- Implement automated quality controls, metadata management, and security governance.
- Optimize platform performance, cost efficiency, and resiliency in a hybrid work model.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 2+ years engineering background.
- Proficiency in SQL and languages like Python/PySpark; expertise with Microsoft Fabric stack.
- Experience building production data pipelines, CI/CD processes, and enterprise security models.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics preparation, Power BI semantic modeling (DAX), Delta Lake architecture, and metadata governance tools like Purview.
