As a Software Engineer II within the Consumer and Community Banking division, you will be a key member of an agile team, responsible for designing and delivering market-leading technology products with a focus on security, stability, and scalability.
Your role will involve executing critical technology solutions across diverse technical areas and business functions to achieve firm-wide business objectives. You will be instrumental in:
- Designing, developing, and troubleshooting software solutions, employing creative approaches to overcome complex technical challenges.
- Producing secure, high-quality production code and maintaining efficient algorithms.
- Creating architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring adherence to design constraints.
- Analyzing and synthesizing large datasets to derive insights for continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
- Proactively identifying system issues and patterns in data to enhance coding practices and system architecture.
- Contributing to the software engineering community through knowledge sharing and exploration of emerging technologies.
- Fostering a team culture of diversity, inclusion, respect, and opportunity.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 2+ years of practical experience.
- Expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.
- Proven experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including release management and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Spinnaker.
- Proficiency in DevOps practices and CI/CD methodologies.
- Advanced skills in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Groovy.
- Experience with third-party vendor data management and lifecycle processes, including ticket management within DevOps frameworks.
- Willingness to participate in weekly on-call support rotations, including weekends.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
- Exposure to cloud technologies.
