Software Engineer II

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to join our team in Delhi, India. This role involves direct engagement with global, multi-functional teams to provide user support and drive strategic development and enhancement of our Customer Relationship Management application (Salesforce). You will be responsible for user support, stakeholder engagement, business analysis, process improvement, and assessing complementary Salesforce technologies, ensuring alignment with Sales & Marketing business objectives.

As the business-facing Subject Matter Expert for the Salesforce technology stack, your primary responsibilities include real-time user support, creating end-user documentation, assisting in capturing and evaluating business requirements, supporting stakeholders during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and various development phases, and executing development tasks. The main goal is to ensure a functionally sound and stable Salesforce deployment at Elsevier, achieving the desired level of user support.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Directly collaborating with business leaders and sales teams, with accountability for end-user support.
• Providing system and business process expertise during project scoping and integration planning.
• Reviewing solution summaries to ensure adherence to best practices and user-focused development.
• Demonstrating a growth mindset, quickly learning and applying new technologies to solve business problems.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting integrations.
• Creating and sharing documentation, including technical guides, business processes, best practices, and reference architecture.
• Applying advanced Salesforce technical principles and contributing to the development of new concepts.
• Working towards long-term goals with assignments often being self-initiated, pursuing necessary actions for desired results, with work validated through consultation with business stakeholders.

Requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of administrative experience with Salesforce.
• Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator or Developer certification is preferred.
• Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder certification is preferred.
• Experience working in Agile project environments.
• A strong understanding of building and supporting highly scalable and reliable solutions on the Salesforce Platform.
• Proven ability to manage and resolve complex and ambiguous technical issues.
• Demonstrated success in supporting at least one large Salesforce Organization.
• Understanding of UI design principles and best practices.
• Exceptional analytical skills and experience with large-scale, complex datasets.
• Strong communication skills, effective with both technical and business audiences.
