JPMorgan Chase's Commercial & Investment Bank is seeking a Software Engineer II to join an agile team focused on enhancing, designing, and delivering secure, stable, and scalable software components for our cutting-edge technology products. As an emerging member of our software engineering team in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India, you will execute software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within technical products, applications, or systems. You will gain the skills and experience necessary for career growth within your role.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
- Write secure and high-quality code in at least one programming language with limited guidance.
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration for upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
- Apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools to improve automation value.
- Utilize technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve basic complexity technical problems.
- Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making for secure, stable application development.
- Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for developing secure, stable code and systems.
- Contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages.
- Experience across the entire Software Development Life Cycle.
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).

- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
- Exposure to cloud technologies.
