Our team specializes in creating zero-trust security solutions for enterprise customers, focusing on segmentation and threat protection. Utilizing Akamai's global Intelligent Edge Platform, we proactively identify, block, and mitigate targeted threats like ransomware, phishing, DNS data exfiltration, and advanced zero-day attacks, while also enabling network segmentation.

What You'll Do

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer II, you will play a pivotal role in developing Akamai's Zero Trust platform into a global leader. You will be instrumental in building best-in-class security features, leveraging your expertise in networking, multi-cloud, and distributed environments to make a significant global impact on enterprises, applications, users, and their workloads.

• Develop and enhance products and services for next-generation micro-segmentation and threat protection solutions.
• Lead new feature development and problem-solving from initial requirements through to delivery, spanning a wide array of technologies.
• Take ownership of technical and product innovation, implement proof-of-concepts, analyze systems, and propose effective solutions.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams in an Agile environment, contributing to code reviews, design processes, and product development.
• Work closely with product management to refine and enhance new releases.
• Coordinate deployment strategies and system changes, participating in timeline planning and release schedules.

What You'll Bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field, coupled with 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in building dynamic, responsive UIs using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue, along with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Redux.
• Experience in developing robust backend services using Node.js, Python, or Java, with expertise in REST, GraphQL, and WebSocket APIs.
• Skilled in designing and managing relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and DynamoDB.
• Experience implementing secure authentication flows using OAuth and JWT within scalable, well-architected full-stack applications.
• Familiarity with deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure, utilizing technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
