Software Engineer II

Overview

As a Software Engineer II at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking division, you will join an agile team dedicated to enhancing, designing, and delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain Android features using Kotlin/Java to deliver high-quality user experiences across devices.
• Write secure, high-quality code with minimal guidance while leveraging enterprise-authorized AI coding tools for improved productivity.
• Drive CI/CD improvements for Android builds including lint analysis, test automation, and release workflows.
• Troubleshoot technical issues of basic complexity considering upstream/downstream system implications.
• Build automated tests (unit, instrumentation, UI) to improve app stability and performance.
• Integrate with backend services using REST/GraphQL and implement secure authentication flows.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of applied experience in software engineering concepts.
• Strong practical Android development skills (SDK, Kotlin, Gradle, JetPack Compose/XML, Hilt, Retrofit, Coroutines).
• Experience with UI accessibility, responsive layouts, and mobile testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with enterprise AI-assisted tools for coding and documentation validation.
