Software Engineer I

About the Role

The Software Engineer I supports feature development, testing, documentation, equipment integration, laboratory validation, deployment, and continuous improvement of software across Forge Nano's product platforms. You will work on industrial software systems used to control semiconductor Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) production equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement well-defined features, enhancements, and bug fixes using C#, .NET, WPF, database technologies, and control logic under technical guidance.
• Develop unit tests and participate in verification activities to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot software defects, document findings, and support corrective actions.
• Maintain requirements, design documentation, test plans, release notes, and engineering records using Git and issue tracking systems.
• Communicate project progress, technical challenges, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
• Support equipment integration, laboratory testing, commissioning, software deployment, system startup activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Learn and operate Forge Nano's Windows-based Human Machine Interface (HMI) for semiconductor equipment.
• Capture screenshots, workflows, configuration procedures, and troubleshooting information to support accurate technical documentation.
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to resolve issues related to software-hardware interactions.
