Software Engineer I

Position Overview

Sandvik Mastercam is seeking a Software Engineer I to contribute to the development of ecommerce capabilities within the WordPress environment. This role reports under a senior engineer and involves implementing features, integrations, and administrative interfaces based on established designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ecommerce Feature Development: Build internal tooling and maintain WP-to-third-party service integrations using designed specifications.
• Development & Maintenance: Design, test, and resolve defects in the codebase; document work for team maintenance.
• Collaboration & Communication: Participate in code reviews, break down user stories accurately, coordinate with developers on changes, and report status to stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in CS/Math/Engineering.
• 1-3 years' web development experience (PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) with WordPress plugin/theme customization skills.
• Familiarity with SQL, source control, agile practices, and ecommerce/payment processing is preferred.
