Software Engineer

Marriott is seeking a Software Engineer for the Enterprise Commerce Search team in Hyderabad, India (Hybrid).

About the Role:

You will contribute to building scalable Java- and Python-based microservices that enhance enterprise search capabilities. The role involves developing REST APIs using Spring WebFlux and FastAPI, integrating with search engines like Amazon OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, and implementing features such as query processing, indexing, facets, and type-ahead.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain microservices for the Enterprise Commerce Search platform.
• Build event-driven integrations and robust REST APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Catalog, QA, SRE, and digital channels.
• Ensure secure coding practices, participate in CI/CD deployments, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Required Skills:

2-4 years of experience in backend engineering. Proficiency in Java (Spring WebFlux) and Python (FastAPI). Experience with distributed systems, Kafka, AWS cloud services, Docker/Kubernetes, and observability tools like Dynatrace.
