Software Engineer

We are seeking a Software Engineer to lead technical development and delivery at both team and lab levels. This role offers two potential paths: as a Line Manager, co-leading with the Team PO for overall delivery, responsible for tech delivery, line management, and app ownership alongside individual engineering output; or as an Individual Contributor, specializing deeply in particular technology areas.

Responsibilities include growing personal capabilities through development opportunities and enhancing the skills of direct reports via existing frameworks, offering specialized training. You will identify and propose improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures, and contribute to change management programs. Identifying and highlighting shortcomings in IT Security processes, systems, and procedures within your assigned unit is also key. You will deliver prescribed outcomes for your area of responsibility by effectively utilizing established knowledge management and risk management systems, ensuring no undue risks to the organization. Managing others within established systems and setting short-term objectives for direct reports are part of the role. You will explore issues to identify potential causes, related issues, and barriers, and define, deliver, and adapt specialized products/services to meet customer needs using the best available approaches within established systems. Analyzing specified problems to find optimal technical and/or professional solutions, developing product specifications, and designing testing procedures and standards are also essential. Finally, you will deliver prescribed outcomes by working within established strategic planning systems.
