Software Engineer

About the Role

Graviton Research Capital LLP is seeking a talented Software Engineer for our Core Technology team in Gurugram, Haryana. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our cutting-edge trading infrastructure, which handles millions of dollars in daily transactions. Responsibilities

• Contribute to all tiers of our backend systems, including databases, APIs, and applications.
• Design, build, and maintain applications to meet evolving business requirements.
• Architect scalable and reliable applications for high performance.
• Write clean, modular code adhering to best coding standards and practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications efficiently.
• Participate actively in the entire application lifecycle, from conception to deployment.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of front-end developers, engineers, and system administrators.
• Develop innovative solutions for complex and novel challenges.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use and efficiency.
• Take ownership and lead projects as required.
• Thrive in a dynamic and competitive work setting.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• An Engineering degree in Computer Science (preferred) or a related discipline from a Tier 1 college.
• 3 to 4 years of proven experience in designing and enhancing information systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Extensive experience working with relational databases and managing large datasets.
• A solid understanding of object-oriented and asynchronous programming principles.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Knowledge of Linux systems and proficiency in bash scripting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
• The ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple high-priority projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the Financial services industry or domain.
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of system design decisions.
• Experience leading small teams or projects.
