Graviton Research Capital is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join its Core Technology team in Gurgaon, India. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining a high-speed, robust trading infrastructure capable of handling millions of dollars in daily transactions. You will contribute to all layers of backend systems, including databases, APIs, and applications, designing, building, and maintaining applications to meet business requirements. The ideal candidate will architect scalable and reliable applications, write clean, modular code adhering to best practices, and troubleshoot/debug existing systems. You will be involved in the entire application lifecycle, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of front-end developers, engineers, and system administrators to devise innovative solutions for complex challenges. Building reusable code and libraries for future use, taking lead on projects as needed, and thriving in a fast-paced, competitive environment are key aspects of this role.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from a Tier 1 college is preferred.
• 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in designing and improving information systems.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Extensive experience working with relational databases and handling large datasets.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with front-end languages like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Knowledge of Linux systems and bash scripting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong willingness to continuously learn and improve.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple high-priority projects.
