Software Engineer - Python & Full Stack Development
About this Role:
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join Gartner IT. You will design, implement, test, and support cutting-edge Python-based web applications that power our Consulting & Insights Technology strategy. This role is crucial in delivering the digital solutions that enable our colleagues and clients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, unit testing, integration testing, and supporting robust Python-based applications and services.
- Collaborating on architecture discussions, technical design specifications, and reviewing business requirements to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Performing rigorous code reviews, peer inspections, and documenting detailed designs for maintainability.
What You'll Need
Mandatory Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2+ years of full-stack web application development experience with strong proficiency in Python (Django, Flask).
- Solid hands-on knowledge of front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Familiarity with ReactJS for building responsive user interfaces.
- Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of integration/web services (HTTP, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON).
- Familiarity with Scrum software development methodologies in an Agile environment.
