Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join the GE Vernova team, developing embedded software for critical power products with high-quality code standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Development: Create and debug OOPs/Python/Java based applications ensuring system reliability.
• Collaboration: Integrate software solutions with hardware components alongside embedded engineers.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with coding standards, participate in code reviews, and perform verification activities.
• Innovation: Document designs effectively while staying updated on the latest embedded systems trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Languages: Proficiency in Python, Core Java, and OOPs principles (1+ years experience required).
• Databases: Experience with Timeseries, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Data Science: Exposure to Machine Learning algorithms.
• Lifecycle Management: Knowledge of Agile methodologies, JIRA, Sprint planning, and Confluence.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Power Industry Focus)

• Familiarity with IEC-61850 standards for power utility automation networks.
• Knowledge of HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) systems.
• Experience with Git or SVN configuration tools.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related field.
