Software Engineer – Full Stack

MillerKnoll is seeking a talented Software Engineer specializing in Full Stack development with expertise in .Net, React, and Oracle. This role, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, is crucial for collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to understand needs and develop functionality for robotic process automation. You will be instrumental in fielding and resolving usage issues, contributing to a global Software Engineering team that supports the Herman Miller business group across the world.

We embrace agile methodologies (SCRUM) for designing, developing, testing, and implementing solutions that meet end-user requirements. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Oracle PL/SQL code (stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, views), analyzing business requirements, and translating them into efficient database solutions. You will also be responsible for optimizing SQL queries and PL/SQL code, maintaining and improving existing database schemas, data models, and ETL processes.

This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining production, development, testing, and training environments, including controlling access and migrating software changes in compliance with SOX regulations. Collaboration with application developers, data architects, and business analysts is key for end-to-end solution delivery. You will document technical designs, data flows, and development processes, participate in code reviews, and contribute to development standards. An on-call rotation is also a part of this role to support implemented enterprise-level software.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Oracle Database (12c or later) or Transactional SQL, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Solid understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling principles.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and packages.
• Familiarity with database performance tuning tools and techniques.
• Experience developing scalable, high-concurrency RESTful APIs and web services using C# and the .NET Core framework.
• Familiarity with React for developing modern, responsive front-end user interfaces.
• Experience with the AWS cloud platform.
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub repository for version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• A graduate or post-graduate in computer science, technology, or an equivalent field with relevant technical skills.
• 4-6 years of work experience in .Net and React, with Oracle PL/SQL or T-SQL development.
• Technology certifications are a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
• Capability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and priorities effectively.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Proficiency in documentation and process/workflow design.
• Command of version control methodologies, preferably with GIT/Bitbucket or equivalent.
• Ability to take direction, accept constructive criticism, and work to specified deadlines.
• Adherence to established processes and procedures.

This role operates within shift timings of 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. or 2:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. IST, with potential for shift adjustments for critical business needs or scheduled events. The location of work is Bengaluru, India. The initial six months will be an in-office probationary period, followed by a transition to a hybrid working model.

Reporting Structure:

• Local reporting to a Working Team Lead in India.
• Matrix reporting to a WTL in the US.
