Software Engineer /Full Stack

Wells Fargo is looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad / Secunderabad, Telangana, India.

Responsibilities

• Engage in low to moderately complex technology initiatives and projects, including installations, upgrades, and deployments.
• Identify opportunities to enhance service quality and availability within the technology environment.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document solutions for low to moderately complex technology projects and programs, covering upgrades and deployments.
• Analyze technical assignments and challenges related to low to medium risk deliverables, conducting research and evaluating technology options.
• Present recommendations for issue resolution and escalate as needed to meet service level agreements.
• Exercise independent judgment while deepening understanding of technology domains, including security and compliance requirements.
• Communicate effectively with technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications

• Hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, debugging, and documentation of enterprise-grade systems.
• Experience as an individual contributor in agile software development teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate functional and technical requirements into effective code.
• Hands-on experience developing microservices-based applications, particularly for high-volume or transaction-intensive workloads.
• Experience designing and developing applications using MongoDB, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Working knowledge of data modeling principles for MongoDB-backed applications, including schema design, normalization trade-offs, indexing strategies, aggregation pipelines, and schema evolution.
• Experience using Hibernate and JPA for data access.
• Exposure to document generation and customer communication technologies, including OpenText Exstream, Java libraries (Apache PDFBox, iText), and Python libraries (ReportLab, FPDF, WeasyPrint).
• Understanding of generating data-driven documents such as PDFs, statements, notices, or letters, with familiarity of template versioning, formatting, localization, and output validation.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, Kafka, and Object Storage.
• Exposure to UI frameworks such as Angular or React is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Kafka for messaging and streaming, including the use of AVRO schemas.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, with familiarity in API management platforms like Apigee.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as JUnit, Karate, and Cucumber.
• Familiarity with TDD and BDD practices, including writing unit, integration, and API tests.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes, including exposure to Liquibase, Harness or similar deployment tools, and Blue-Green deployments.
• Basic understanding of monitoring and observability using tools like Grafana and AppDynamics.
