Software Engineer - Frontend

This role is pivotal in shaping the user experience of our internally developed People Technology tools – custom applications that support critical HR programs throughout the employee lifecycle. As a Frontend Developer based in Hyderabad, India, you will be responsible for creating dynamic, responsive, and accessible user interfaces utilizing Vue 3, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.

You will collaborate closely with fellow development team members and product partners to bring intuitive user experiences to life. Beyond implementation, you will have the opportunity to influence frontend architecture, advocate for performance optimization, and contribute to maintaining a clean, modern, and scalable UI codebase. This will enable us to deliver impactful digital experiences with both speed and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop modular, reusable frontend components using Vue 3 Composition API and TypeScript.
• Implement responsive UI layouts using Tailwind CSS and modern CSS features.
• Manage application state using reactive patterns such as Pinia or Vuex.
• Write unit and end-to-end tests using Vitest, Jest, and Cypress to ensure UI stability and prevent regressions.
• Utilize Git for source control, participating in pull request reviews and adhering to branching strategies.
• Integrate frontend components with backend APIs, managing loading states, error messages, and data presentation.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain a Storybook-based design system.
• Apply performance optimization techniques including code splitting, lazy loading, and bundle analysis.
• Participate in sprint planning, technical design reviews, and UI/UX feedback sessions.
• You will report to the Product Development Manager.

Essential Skills:

• Vue 3: Proficiency with the Composition API, state management (Pinia/Vuex), and component-based design.
• TypeScript: Strong understanding of generics, interfaces, and writing Vue components.
• Tailwind CSS: Proven experience in creating responsive, utility-first layouts.
• CSS: Solid grasp of animations, transitions, and modern styling methodologies.
• Git: Daily use of Git, including PR workflows, branching strategies, and version control best practices.
• Testing: Familiarity with Vitest and Jest for unit tests, and Cypress for end-to-end coverage.

Good to Have:

• Storybook: Experience in creating UI component libraries and documentation.
• API Integration: Experience fetching data with Axios/Fetch and handling asynchronous states in the UI.
• Performance Optimization: Experience with techniques like lazy loading, tree-shaking, and performance audits.

Qualifications:

• Practical experience with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS in production environments.
• 3+ years of professional experience in frontend development using Vue 3.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent practical experience.
