Software Engineer

Frontend Engineer - Borderless - Bengaluru / Bangalore, India

Borderless is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru / Bangalore. You will be instrumental in building intuitive, high-performance, and user-centric web experiences. This role involves close collaboration with product, design, and backend engineering teams to create scalable and responsive applications.

What You'll Do

• Translate UI/UX concepts into functional and elegant web applications, working alongside product managers and designers.

• Develop highly responsive and reusable UI components using React.js.

• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code leveraging modern JavaScript (ES6+).

• Implement robust front-end architecture to support complex user interactions and dynamic dashboards.

• Build and maintain applications using React workflows (Redux/Flux) and modern tooling such as Webpack.

• Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.

• Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance existing interfaces and their performance.

• Integrate analytics and develop data-driven charting dashboards.

• Maintain clear documentation and adhere to version control best practices using Git.

• Gain knowledge of micro-frontend architecture in JavaScript with React.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in building modern web applications with React.js.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and contemporary front-end development methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with the React ecosystem, including tools like Redux and Webpack.

• Experience with Next.js and Server-Side Rendering (SSR).

• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.

• Solid understanding of performance optimization techniques and browser debugging tools.

• Experience applying UI/UX principles and providing design recommendations.

• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment.
