Software Engineer

About the Role

The Software Engineer plays a pivotal role in developing robust information systems. You will study operations, design scalable software components, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management and UX personnel to deliver maintainable solutions through rigorous user testing.

Main Duties

• Analyze business needs and system flows to formulate effective technical solutions.
• Partner with stakeholders to refine designs via continuous user feedback loops.
• Create comprehensive documentation for proposed architectural solutions.
• Evaluate operational feasibility based on data, problem definitions, and requirements analysis.
• Implement high-quality code adhering to standard software development lifecycles (SDLC).
• Stay current with emerging tools, techniques, and technologies through continuous learning.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive operations and information.
• Achieve engineering goals by delivering timely work within organizational missions.
• Foster team growth by providing mentorship, coaching, and educational resources to fellow engineers.

Education & Experience

We seek candidates with a post-secondary degree in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience. You must demonstrate ownership of major system components from conception to deployment.

Key Skills Required

• Mastery of Node.js, Express frameworks, and TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript web development using Vue.js.
• Solid grasp of asynchronous programming, caching strategies, security protocols, and persistence mechanisms.
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, Big O notation, system complexity (CAP theorem), and design patterns.
• Experience in Agile SDLC environments with a focus on CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
