Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Database Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable database solutions using MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL in a Chennai-based environment.
• Collaborate with development stakeholders to understand and implement robust database requirements for SaaS applications.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions ensuring high performance.
• Configure and tune both cloud and on-premises database servers for optimal uptime and speed.

2. ETL Integration:

• Design and implement seamless data migration processes using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SSIS, maintaining strict data integrity.
• Troubleshoot complex ETL issues to ensure continuous data flow across environments.

3. Data Warehousing & Analytics:

• Leverage Azure Data Lake for scalable storage solutions and contribute to the design of robust data warehouses.
• Extract large datasets efficiently for integration with advanced reporting tools like Apache Superset, tailored for business insights in Chennai's tech landscape.

4. Reporting Solutions:

• Develop and maintain SSRS reports based on precise customer requirements to drive decision-making processes.

5. Performance Tuning & Monitoring:

• Analyze production database performance using industry-leading tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic, or similar monitoring solutions.
• Optimize query performance and implement strategic tuning to resolve bottlenecks within SLAs.

6. Version Control & Collaboration:

• Utilize GIT and SVN for rigorous version control of database scripts and configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using JIRA for story mapping, tracking progress, and resolving issues efficiently within a permanent full-time setting.

7. Documentation & Analysis:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation covering database architecture, operational processes, and configurations.
• Provide detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports for critical database-related incidents to prevent recurrence.
