Software Engineer

Join Addepar at the forefront of building our modern data platform! We are seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to bring technical vision and build the core infrastructure and tooling for Addepar's evolving data platform. This role requires legal authorization to work in India without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering partners and platform users to define requirements, set priorities, and develop solutions for complex technology and workflow challenges.
• Enhance Addepar's Data Lakehouse, establishing it as the central financial data hub through integrations with various data sources.
• Contribute to a high-performing engineering team in India, focusing on designing, developing, and deploying Data Lakehouse solutions with an emphasis on infrastructure, data tooling, and integrations.
• Support other Addepar teams in building on top of the Data Lakehouse.
• Establish a robust software architecture foundation through system design and code development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical industry experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in data platform development and management, with a strong background in data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and internal platform tooling.
• Possess a confident, positive, and low-ego demeanor with a strong ownership mentality, ingenuity, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in cloud environments, with experience in automated infrastructure and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with PySpark on Databricks, Terraform, and Streamlit is preferred, with flexibility for cross-training from similar technologies.
• Practical knowledge of agile methodologies, with a focus on experimentation, iteration, and guiding teams toward optimal outcomes.

Work Arrangement: This role requires a hybrid work model, with 3 days a week in our Pune office.
