Software Engineer

Join Speechify's Data side of the AI team in Noida, India! This role focuses on data collection to support model training operations, leveraging tight integration between infrastructure, engineering, and research to build high-quality datasets at low cost.

Your Responsibilities:

• Scrappy source finding: Identify new audio data sources and integrate them into the ingestion pipeline.
• Infrastructure Management: Operate and extend cloud infrastructure on GCP using Terraform for scalable ingestion pipelines.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Scientists to optimize cost, throughput, and quality of datasets powering next-gen models.
• Roadmap Strategy: Collaborate with the AI Team and Leadership to define dataset roadmaps for future consumer and enterprise products.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience Level: 5+ years of industry software development experience (Mid-to-Senior level).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Bash/Python scripting on Linux, Docker, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC). Experience with at least one major cloud provider is essential; Speechify uses Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Data Expertise: Familiarity with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows is highly valued.
• Soft Skills: Ability to handle multiple priorities, adapt quickly, and possess strong written/verbal communication skills for a fully distributed environment.
