Software Engineer

NICE is seeking a talented Software Engineer specializing in Customer Experience (CX) to join our Pune, Maharashtra team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, including Node.js, AWS, and AI-driven development with Claude, to build scalable backend services and integrate intelligent automation and copilot-like features.

In this role, you will contribute to the development of robust backend services and APIs using Node.js, design and maintain microservices, and leverage AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and messaging systems (SQS/SNS). You will be instrumental in integrating AI capabilities via Claude APIs for various use cases, including summarization, Q&A, and workflow automation. This position involves implementing prompt-based logic and orchestration for AI workflows, collaborating closely with QA, DevOps, and Product teams for seamless end-to-end delivery, and actively troubleshooting and optimizing system performance, scalability, and reliability.

The ideal candidate possesses a BS/MS in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field, with 2-5 years of backend development experience. Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript, along with experience in REST APIs and microservices architecture, is essential. Hands-on experience with AWS services, a foundational understanding of LLMs and prompt engineering using Claude, and familiarity with asynchronous and event-driven programming are required. Experience with databases like DynamoDB or MongoDB, and working knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines are also key qualifications.
