Software Engineer Contract / Intern

Counsly AI is seeking a remote Software Engineer for a contract/internship role. This position involves contributing to the design, development, and implementation of back-end systems, writing clean, object-oriented code. Responsibilities include collaborating with the development team, troubleshooting software issues, and developing AI-powered solutions.

Qualifications: Proficiency in Programming, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Back-End Web Development, Node.js, React.Js (MERN stack), and Python. A strong foundation in Computer Science principles and Software Development practices is essential. Experience with AI-driven solutions or a keen interest in artificial intelligence is a plus. Candidates should be currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits: A competitive stipend of ₹25,000 INR per month is offered. This is a fully remote role with flexible hours (30-40 hours/week) and the opportunity to have real production impact on live law firm deployments. Interns will receive direct mentorship from senior engineers with AI/legal tech expertise, and top performers may have the potential for extension to full-time roles with equity opportunities. The contract/internship duration is 3 months with a possibility of extension.
