Role Overview
As a Software Engineer at Applied Materials (Chennai), you will leverage machine learning and AI to solve high-value problems for semiconductor customers. You will design, prototype, develop, and debug software solutions for equipment components while ensuring quality and functionality across intricate systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop moderately complex software solutions for semiconductor devices.
- Create common software modules and libraries used across multiple products.
- Develop comprehensive documentation and test procedures.
- Troubleshoot difficult software problems and implement effective bug fixes.
- Communicate with internal and external customers to analyze requirements and manage project schedules.
Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, or Mathematics; 2–4 years of related experience; proficiency in C/C++, .Net, C#, Operating Systems, Networking, Algorithms, and Multi-threading.
Preferred: Strong conceptual knowledge of software engineering with a willingness to expand capabilities; understanding of key industry business drivers.
