Software Engineer

KLA is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Chennai, India. This role involves extending and maintaining the software that drives our wafer and panel metrology products for the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, and implement new software features.
• Create automated tests to ensure software quality.
• Develop and maintain supporting tooling for development and operations.
• Analyze and resolve software bugs.
• Provide technical support to non-developer team members and field engineers.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in modern C++.
• Knowledge of C# and/or Python is advantageous.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Understanding of UML models and ability to create them.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, implementation, testing, installation, and support.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently within a small, collaborative team.
• Proactive and takes initiative.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's Level Degree with 0 years of related work experience.
• Bachelor's Level Degree with 2 years of related work experience.
