Full Job Description
KLA is seeking a driven Software Engineer to join our team in Chennai, India, contributing to the design, development, release, and support of our advanced metrology products. In this role, you will leverage your understanding of our metrology product functionalities and underlying DGA architecture to translate stakeholder requirements into tangible solutions. You will be responsible for enhancing and developing software using C++ and Java on both Windows and Linux platforms, adding new features and improving existing functionalities for our WS/PWG products. A key part of your role will involve designing and implementing features to generate diverse metrics from instrument-collected data. You will also provide crucial support for customer issues, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution. Adherence to established development processes and best practices will be essential. We are looking for individuals with 2-4 years of software engineering experience, preferably within a product company, who possess excellent software design and implementation skills, networking and hardware knowledge, and proficiency in C++, Java, and Windows 32/64 bit programming. Experience with UML, OOP, OOD methodologies, user interface design, and debugging is also required. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field is necessary, with a Master's degree being preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and team coordination skills are vital, along with the ability to be a self-learner and creative problem-solver who can work with minimal supervision. Familiarity with distributed, cross-platform applications (Windows-Linux) and the semiconductor domain is a plus.
