Software Engineer

About The Role

We are seeking a Junior UI/Full Stack Developer at Isovalent (part of Cisco) to assist in developing features for policy, vulnerability management, and more. This role involves collaborating effectively with the team on small-to-medium projects from technical design through completion.

Your Impact:

• Establish relationships and collaborate effectively within your agile engineering practices team.
• Analyze requirements, participate in delivery of technical designs, and apply development lifecycle principles to own projects.
• Write functional clean code with unit tests (E2E) under guidance and assist in peer code reviews.
• Monitor incident reports, triage issues, participate in postmortems, and perform on-call duties as needed.
• Estimate assignment timelines and communicate status, blockers, and delays transparently to the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience OR Master's degree with no prior industry experience required.
• Fundamental knowledge of development theories and concepts; exposure to current technologies via coursework or internship is essential.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript alongside React, Angular, or similar frontend frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Built backend applications using Go, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or other modern backends.
