Software Engineer

• Core Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, data models, and asynchronous workflows using industry-standard patterns.
• Ensure system reliability by implementing comprehensive testing strategies, observability pipelines, alerting systems, database migrations, safe blue/green rollouts, rollback plans, and post-incident reviews.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across the full stack: client applications (Flutter/Web), network layers, backend services, caching mechanisms, message queues, and relational databases using data-driven evidence.
• Architect pragmatic solutions that meet current scale requirements while designing for robust future growth.
• Safeguard sensitive user relationship data by implementing strict authentication protocols, authorization controls, input validation, and secure operational practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to define feature scope, assess UX implications, establish success metrics (KPIs), and plan strategic rollouts.
• Contribute to frontend codebases using Flutter or modern web frameworks when necessary to complete features or debug cross-platform issues.
• Mentor junior engineers by conducting thorough code reviews, evaluating technical proposals, and fostering a culture of self-review and continuous improvement.
• Leverage AI tools effectively to accelerate development velocity while maintaining full ownership over security implications, data accuracy, and system accountability.

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of hands-on experience building and operating production-grade software in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep expertise with at least one major backend language (e.g., Java, Go, Python) and its corresponding ecosystem/frameworks.
• Strong command over fundamental computer science concepts including API design principles, relational database modeling, concurrency control, idempotency patterns, caching strategies, queue management, and robust failure handling.
• Demonstrated track record of personally owning production incidents, resolving critical bugs leading migrations, or driving reliability improvements (SLO/SLA).
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable code accompanied by meaningful unit/integration tests and useful structured logging/metrics for observability.
• Broad product judgment that connects technical architecture decisions directly to business outcomes like user activation, retention rates, delivery speed, and infrastructure cost efficiency.
• Sufficient frontend/app experience to read existing client code, debug UI/UX issues, and make scoped changes outside of the backend stack when required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide constructive technical pushback during design discussions.
