About the Role
We are seeking a Python Backend Specialist to build MCP servers and integrate applications into RL Studio for leading AI research labs. This remote contract position offers competitive hourly compensation ($40-$50/hr) with flexible working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop robust MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers using Python and FastMCP
- Create integrations for web and desktop applications within the RL Studio ecosystem
- Configure APIs, Docker containers, Linux environments, and service settings
- Implement populate/snapshot hooks for effective app state management
- Conduct local testing, debugging, and resolve runtime/permission issues
Requirements:
Mandatory: Expert-level Python skills, API integration experience, Docker/Linux proficiency, strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred: FastMCP framework knowledge, third-party app integration experience, familiarity with containerized environments and deployment pipelines.
