Software Engineer - Backend Role at project44
Join project44 as a Software Engineer - Backend to shape the future of global supply chain intelligence. In a fast-paced Agile environment, you’ll design, build, and maintain best-in-class integrations that connect our platform to logistics networks, carriers, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage state-of-the-art integrations to expand our network of connected logistics partners.
- Own system lifecycle management, including development, operations, and testing, with full accountability for software delivery.
- Develop scalable, real-time systems in multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), focusing on Java-based microservices and databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve complex logistics challenges and improve supply chain visibility.
- Assume on-call responsibilities for team-owned systems, enhancing monitoring, automation, and team experience.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience building large-scale, real-time cloud systems with strong Java proficiency.
- Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure), microservices, and scalable databases.
- Knowledge of event stores, stream processing (Kafka/Kinesis), and REST APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger).
- Analytical problem-solving skills, a drive for high performance, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Desirable but not required: Docker/Kubernetes, complex codebase analysis, and database expertise (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
