Software Engineer

Join the Maersk Developer Platform (MDP) team in Bengaluru/Bangalore as a Backend Software Engineer and be instrumental in developing the core infrastructure of our internal developer ecosystem. This role focuses on constructing scalable systems, automating infrastructure processes, and empowering developers across Maersk through an advanced platform designed to streamline application development, deployment, and scaling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and optimize backend services using Java and Spring frameworks, leveraging Gradle for build automation.
• Implement and maintain scalable, resilient microservices adhering to industry best practices.
• Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes for efficient scalability and resource management.
• Create RESTful APIs to ensure seamless integration and communication between services.
• Collaborate effectively with infrastructure engineers, product managers, and other engineering teams to achieve strategic MDP goals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and scalability issues, ensuring high-quality code through thorough testing and code reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring frameworks.
• Experience with build automation using Gradle.
• Solid understanding of microservice architecture principles.
• Foundational knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).

Preferred Experience & Skills (Bonus):
