Software Engineer, Associate Vice President in Chennai, India

This permanent, full-time role is based in Chennai, India. As a Software Engineer, you will have an exciting career challenge, building a wide network of stakeholders and honing your technical skills. This opportunity is offered at an Associate Vice President level.

What you'll do

In this role, you will engineer and maintain innovative, customer-centric, high-performance, secure, and robust solutions. Working within a feature team, you will leverage your extensive experience to engineer complex software, scripts, and tools. You will also collaborate with other engineers, architects, and business analysts across the platform.

• Produce complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality that adds value to the business.
• Work within permanent teams responsible for the full software lifecycle, from initial development through enhancement, maintenance, replacement, or decommissioning.
• Collaborate to optimize our software engineering capability.
• Design, produce, test, and implement working code.
• Engage across the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations.

The skills you'll need

A strong background in software engineering, software design, and architecture is essential, along with an understanding of how your expertise supports our customers. You will also require:

• Experience with development and testing tools, bug tracking tools, and wikis.
• Proficiency in Java, Microservices, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with DevOps, Testing, and Agile methodologies and associated toolsets.
• A proven ability to solve highly complex, analytical, and numerical problems.
• Experience implementing programming best practices, particularly concerning scalability, automation, virtualization, optimization, availability, and performance.
