About the Role
Join NatWest Group as an Associate-level Software Engineer in Enterprise Services (India). You will design, build, and operate high-performance, secure, scalable integration solutions within our Middleware Core Solutions team.
Your Responsibilities
- Serve as a key technical member responsible for end-to-end solution design, delivery, performance optimization, and leveraging AI/LLM capabilities throughout the SDLC.
- Design and manage services using IBM App Connect, IBM MQ, and API platforms with strong SOA expertise including WebSphere Message Broker/MQ.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab Runners and Jenkins for automated deployment.
- Build cloud-native, containerized solutions on OpenShift/Kubernetes following DevOps best practices.
- Collaborate across the full software lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, coding, testing (unit/integration), deployment, and operations/maintenance.
Tech Stack & Skills
Programming: Strong proficiency in Java and Python with multithreading/concurrent programming experience.
Middleware: Hands-on expertise with IBM App Connect (formerly Integration Designer), IBM MQ, CP4I, SOAP/XML, REST/JSON, YAML, ESQL, WSDL/XSD.
DevOps & GitOps: Experience with ArgoCD or similar tools alongside Jenkins/GitLab CI.
Integration Patterns: Orchestration, aggregation, pub/sub, fire-and-forget architectures.
Observability: Proficiency with DxAPM, OpenTelemetry (OTel), and Splunk for monitoring and logging.
