Role Overview
MongoDB seeks an experienced Software Engineer to join Enterprise Architecture on a focused team dedicated to AI experimentation in Gurugram. You will partner with teams across Internal Engineering and product organizations to explore, prototype, and validate emerging AI capabilities before they become formal roadmap priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and run experiments testing emerging AI capabilities against real internal use cases
- Build lightweight prototypes to quickly validate or kill ideas
- Stay current on new AI tooling and models, turning developments into concrete proof points
- Partner with product and platform teams to hand off validated capabilities for production
- Maintain technical rigor and clear documentation of findings
Requirements
- Deep expertise in modern languages like Python, Typescript, Go, or Rust
- Hands-on prototyping with LLMs: agentic systems, evals, fine-tuning, RAG, tool use
Bonus Qualifications
- Full-stack application experience (Front-end UIs, backend APIs, data pipelines)
- Knowledge of Tanstack Start, Next.js, FastAPI, React
- Experience with vector databases and agent orchestration tools like LangGraph
- Containerized applications knowledge: Kubernetes, CI/CD pipeline design
