About the Role
Azure Managed Redis (AMR) is Microsoft's next-generation, first-party Redis service on Azure. The engineering team builds and operates hyperscale cloud services that deliver enterprise-grade reliability, security, performance, and customer experience for mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop highly scalable cloud services and microservices powering Azure Managed Redis.
- Drive platform modernization initiatives involving AKS, .NET, cloud-native architectures, automation, and service scalability.
- Own services end-to-end from architecture through live-site operations.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and operational accountability.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 7+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years building large-scale production services.
- Strong understanding of cloud services, networking, APIs, storage systems, and service reliability concepts.
- Experience debugging complex production issues and driving root-cause analysis.
