About the Team

The IPO Readiness pod manages Exotel's billing and revenue platform, handling real-time call/SMS billing, invoicing, payment processing, and credit control for approximately 200k transactions per minute across Voice, Messaging, and other solutions.

Role Overview: Member of Technical Staff II

You will design, build, and integrate components within the billing platform while supporting IPO-readiness initiatives. Responsibilities include feature delivery, production support, and cross-system integrations with ERP systems like Business Central, payment gateways, and Zuora.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Development & Integration: Develop and maintain microservices and batch jobs using Golang (preferred), Java, or PHP. Build REST APIs and Kafka consumers/producers for billing events and sync flows.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
• Proficiency in at least one language: Golang (preferred), Java, or PHP.
• Experience building scalable distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on MySQL skills including schema design, query tuning, and replication awareness.
• Expertise with Apache Kafka for asynchronous processing, lag management, and fallback/retry patterns.
• Kubernetes basics (pods, deployments) and GitOps tools like ArgoCD.
• DevOps mindset capable of log analysis, metrics monitoring, and incident triage.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Billing/invoicing/payment/ERP integration experience (Zuora, Business Central, Razorpay).
• Familiarity with Beanstalkd, Jenkins, Prometheus/Grafana/Loki.
• Python scripting for automation and reporting.
• Knowledge of ITGC/SOX-style controls and audit documentation.
