Role Overview:
Join the Azure Data engineering team at Microsoft as a Software Engineer on our databases squad. We are building mission-critical operational database systems for relational and non-relational data across industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and operate scalable services that manage capacity allocation, placement, and lifecycle for Azure SQL Database workloads.
- Improve service reliability, performance, availability through automation, observability, and incident prevention.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient solutions using modern engineering practices including CI/CD, test automation, telemetry-driven development, and DevOps workflows.
Qualifications:
- Ability to meet Microsoft security screening requirements including Cloud Background Check.
Preferred: Master's degree and relevant additional experience.
