Senior Developer (L09) - Digital Applications

You will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative digital products that power PepsiCo’s global operations. Key Responsibilities:

Backend Development

• Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build event-driven and cloud-native applications, integrating seamlessly with Azure services.
• Implement and maintain secure authentication and authorization frameworks.

Database Development

• Design and optimize NoSQL data models within Cosmos DB.
• Ensure high availability, effective partitioning, indexing, and query optimization for database performance.
• Manage and implement data synchronization strategies across distributed systems.

Front-End / Full Stack Development

• Develop responsive and user-friendly web interfaces that integrate smoothly with backend APIs.
• Contribute to UI architecture decisions for scalable and maintainable front-end systems.

Native Mobile Application Development

• Build and maintain high-quality native mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
• Integrate mobile applications with enterprise APIs and cloud backend services.
• Optimize mobile app performance, implement offline synchronization capabilities, and manage push notifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 9 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven expertise in:
  • Java / Spring Boot
  • REST APIs / Microservices architecture
  • Cosmos DB / NoSQL database technologies
  • Native iOS or Android development (experience with React and React Native is also valued)
• Familiarity with Azure cloud platform services, including tools like Co-pilot.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes is preferred.
