Software Egineer II

About the Role

Cloudangles is seeking a motivated Software Engineer II to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. In this role, you will independently develop product features, investigate and resolve production issues, and perform in-depth troubleshooting. You will be instrumental in implementing complex product stories with minimal supervision and actively contribute to sprint planning and story grooming, providing technical insights into development complexity.

• Messaging: Apache Kafka for data exchange between PostgreSQL & SQL Server
• CI/CD & Repo: GitLab

What You'll Need

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in backend development using Kotlin and Spring Boot, or a strong Java/JVM background with a willingness to transition to Kotlin.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, including query optimization, schema design, and data integrity, with a preference for PostgreSQL.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows, with GitLab being a plus.
• Proven ability to write production-ready, well-documented, and testable code.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication, with the ability to thrive in a cross-functional, distributed team environment.

Bonus Points

• Experience with Angular or similar component-based frontend frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or other event-streaming/message-broker platforms.
• Exposure to healthcare technology, IVR systems, or SMS/outreach campaign platforms.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like Jira.
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance considerations in software design.
