Software Development Expert

Alstom is seeking a full-time Software Development Expert for its Bengaluru, Karnataka location. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage frontend development expertise in a cutting-edge field within the rail industry.

Your Future Role

You will play a pivotal role in developing seamless, high-performance web applications that enhance user experience. Collaborating closely with UX designers, backend developers, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and contribute to the creation of reusable UI components to ensure design consistency. Your daily responsibilities will include building rich, responsive web applications using Angular, Vue.js, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, as well as optimizing applications for speed, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing, enhancing, and maintaining high-performance web applications.
• Building reusable UI components and ensuring design consistency across applications.
• Integrating frontend applications with backend APIs and microservices.
• Optimizing applications for speed and cross-browser compatibility.
• Utilizing Node.js for build tools and lightweight backend utilities.
• Configuring and deploying frontend applications using NGINX or similar web servers.
• Adhering to Agile methodologies and contributing to sprint planning.

All About You

We value passion and attitude, and while not every skill is mandatory, the following will be beneficial:

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of overall experience.
• Experience or understanding of frontend development frameworks such as Angular, Vue.js, and React.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.
• Familiarity with integrating frontend applications with backend APIs.
• A strong understanding of responsive design principles.
• Experience with Git for version control and CI/CD workflows (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with Docker for containerization and local development pipelines.
