About the Role: Software Development Engineer IV (Telecommuter)

Join our team to do meaningful work that improves people's lives. As a Software Development Engineer IV, you will play a critical role in delivering highly complex, enterprise-scale solutions by providing deep technical leadership and architectural direction.

Your Impact:

• Leverage AI & GenAI: Design and implement solutions using Azure OpenAI, RAG, vector search, and agent-based frameworks to integrate advanced capabilities into our healthcare applications.
• Lead Technical Architecture: Define scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions that align with Premera's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements in a highly regulated environment like healthcare.
• Mentor & Collaborate: Serve as a trusted advisor to engineering teams, mentors less experienced engineers, and drive collaboration across vendors, customers, and internal partners.
• Ensure Excellence: Establish best practices for code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, security governance, and operational excellence using Azure DevOps tools.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with (8) years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages with hands-on expertise in cloud-based solutions (Azure).
• Experience designing enterprise-scale systems, API architectures, and automated testing frameworks.
• Adeptness in Agile environments and a commitment to continuous learning in emerging technologies like AI advancements.
