About the Role

Calm is building its product, guiding analysis, securing data, and operating platforms to support everyone on their mental health journey. As an SDET at Calm, you'll work in fast-moving, small pods to ensure what we ship is reliable for millions of users.

What You'll Do

• Set the testing strategy and quality bar for the Calm app and internal tools.
• Architect and build automated test frameworks (UI, API, mobile, integration) within CI/CD pipelines.
• Review requirements early to catch issues in-sprint rather than at release end.
• Partner with product teams on release planning, certification, and post-launch monitoring.
• Collaborate with product and design (~30% of time) to define acceptance criteria and keep timelines on track.
• Manage and direct the offshore QA team toward automation and higher-value testing.
• Triage defects clearly and drive them to resolution using AI-assisted tooling.
• Track quality metrics: coverage, flakiness, escaped defects, and release stability.
