Experian is seeking a motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for their Hyderabad / Secunderabad, Telangana, India location. This hybrid role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of cloud-native applications and platform services. You will be instrumental in building robust automation frameworks, enhancing testing capabilities, and promoting a quality-first culture within an engineering organization that utilizes modern technologies like TypeScript, Python, React, FastAPI, AWS Lambda, and ECS, supported by a strong CI/CD foundation.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for web, backend, and distributed systems. You will collaborate closely with software engineers to ensure testability and adherence to quality engineering standards, build and maintain comprehensive test suites (end-to-end, integration, unit), and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. The role also involves API testing, contract validation using OpenAPI standards, monitoring and diagnosing failures, and contributing to the definition of test strategies and best practices.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in delivering production-grade software system end-to-end automation test solutions. Essential skills include strong coding experience in TypeScript for UI and API test automation, working knowledge of Python for backend testing and automation scripts, and proficiency with pytest, vitest, and TestCafe. Experience with applications deployed on AWS Lambda, AWS ECS, cloud-native architectures, CI/CD infrastructure, and cloud services (API Gateway, ALB, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, RDS, S3) is required. Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Buildkite, Dependabot workflows, and cloud observability tools like CloudWatch is also expected. Desirable skills include experience with OpenAPI for API contract validation and knowledge of QuickSight or PowerBI.
