Software Development Engineer in Test

Location: Gurugram, Haryana, India

Team: Foreseer, focused on digital transformation solutions for information extraction from various data sources using AI/ML and a human-in-the-loop platform. The team prioritizes disciplined processes, innovative testing, reliable execution, and continuous improvement.

About the Role

As a Senior QA, you will be instrumental in building solutions to test applications across Web, API, and Database platforms. You will develop efficient data comparison methods and aim to reduce time-to-market without compromising quality by leveraging automation and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop automation and performance scripts adhering to organizational standards, creating reliable, reusable, and maintainable automated regression suites and test harnesses.
• Employ tools and frameworks to build quality automated scripts that simplify testing scenarios.
• Conduct Accessibility testing to ensure applications meet WCAG standards.
• Design and develop test plans and test cases based on functional and design specifications.
• Execute test cases, analyze results, and report findings to the team.
• Collaborate with development teams to deliver business functionality on time with the required quality.
• Focus on building efficient solutions for Web, Services/APIs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including project scoping, functional reviews, and technical reviews.
• Actively engage in functional, system, and regression testing.
• Capture and analyze quality assurance data and metrics to provide insights.
• Estimate and perform risk analysis for quality delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in software testing or development with a strong understanding of testing, coding, and debugging procedures.
• Proficiency in programming using Python or Java.
• Experience in designing and developing automated tests using tools like Python and Selenium across application layers (UI, Service, Data) and performing root cause analysis.
• Experience working with REST services and understanding of SOA architecture.
• Exposure to distributed source control systems such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience testing in CI/CD/CT and Azure DevOps environments.
• In-depth knowledge and creation of automation frameworks for testing JSON, Rest/SOAP based web services.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Accessibility testing tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of Splunk analysis is a plus.
• Exposure to Security Testing is a plus.
• Exposure to User Journey based testing is a plus.
• Exposure to Performance testing is a plus.
• Experience in Resilience testing is a plus.
• Exposure to Gen AI tools is a plus.
