Software Development Engineer

About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer III at Tesco Technology in Bengaluru, you will play an active role in technical leadership with proven impact across teams. You are expected to design highly scalable distributed systems, implement robust architecture patterns, and provide mentorship within your team.

Your responsibilities include:

• Demonstrated experience designing and running large-scale distributed systems.
  Infrastructure implementation using various design patterns.
  Technical leadership with focus on coaching and operations maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

You will own the development of products in your domain, build organizational capability through mentoring, and participate in hiring. Your work will have foundational impact across teams within your directorate. You are expected to advocate for best practices, ensure service maturity, design appropriate testing strategies, and anticipate product evolution.

At this senior Individual Contributor level (SDE3), you exercise high technical judgment alongside implementation skills. You manage competing priorities in ambiguous scenarios, utilize data-driven decision-making for trade-offs, identify risks proactively, and act as a trusted mentor to junior engineers.
