Software Development Engineer II

Introduction to the Team: The EGA (EG Advertising) team builds high-scale systems powering Expedia Group's Accelerator product. Engineers here ensure data integrity and resilient service design for hotel partners seeking improved search placement.

In this role, you will own critical services end-to-end while evolving platforms with AI-driven capabilities to simplify partner workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust applications contributing to feature delivery across multiple domains.
• Implement clean, testable code including system design and API development ensuring scalability.
• Collaborate with product and operations teams using data metrics to guide technical decisions.
• Own the full SDLC from reviews through deployment in production environments.
• Safely integrate AI/ML-enabled solutions into existing services.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (2+ years).
• Expertise in OOP and functional programming (Java, Kotlin), data structures, CI/CD.
• Demonstrated ability to design service-based solutions.
• Experience collaborating in agile environments for full feature ownership.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience designing scalable architectures and operating systems at scale.
• Track record of using data/experimentation to drive engineering decisions.
• Familiarity with AI-driven workflows applied to real products.
