Software Development Engineer II

About the Role

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer II to design, build, and operate scalable production software across the entire development lifecycle. This role involves implementation, testing, deployment, resolving operational issues, conducting code reviews, and mentoring engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust software solutions for major features using sound system design principles focused on scalability, maintainability, and performance in the Santa Clara area.
• Develop clean, well-tested, and maintainable code utilizing optimal data structures and algorithms. Actively participate in code reviews to provide constructive feedback to teammates.
• Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional peers to understand business requirements and deliver solutions that balance customer needs with technical considerations.
• Identify root causes of operational issues, drive permanent fixes, and continuously improve team operational health and processes.
• Mentor and coach fellow engineers, train new hires on system architecture and operations, and contribute to clear technical documentation supporting long-term knowledge retention.
