Software Development Engineer

About The Role

As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) on the DC Console/InfraMap team at Amazon Data Services, Inc., you will build and operate software for AWS data centers. Your primary focus is developing the DC Console platform to enable teams to independently deploy operator experiences while maintaining real-time visualizations of power and cooling.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Engineering: Build a shared operator console allowing engineering teams to ship features via independent packages, pipelines, and runtime composition. Own the console shell including navigation, routing, page registration, and shared services.
• Cross-Origin & Security Solutions: Solve complex federated frontend challenges such as authenticated module loading, edge authentication, content security policy (CSP), per-stage isolation, and graceful fallbacks when registries are unreachable.
• Self-Service Onboarding: Deliver templates giving partner teams working modules, accounts, CDNs, and pipelines in one step. Support teams bringing their own backends with visibility into health metrics, alarms, paging, and user reports without owning the shell.
• Migrating to Micro-Frontends: Move existing pages out of monoliths as reference implementations behind feature flags, enabling reversible rollouts.
• Data Visualization: Build real-time visualizations for power/cooling data critical during site events.
• Tech Enablement: Support onboarded teams through office hours, design reviews, and security audits to prevent fragmentation into siloed products.
